Dead Ringer

Dead Ringer

This device prevents the phones from ringing on incoming calls. The calling party just hears the phone ringing and ringing, but it's never answered since the phones are silent on the target's end so they have no idea that someone is calling them. Even faxes and voice mail will not pick up. Yet outgoing calls are completely unaffected and go through normally! The target has no idea there's anything wrong, they'll just begin to think that they've become very unpopular as nobody calls them anymore, or even leaves them messages. If installation of this device happens to be on a business line, the potential consequences are even greater. Installs anywhere along the telephone line; it comes with both a modular plug connector (to fit in standard telephone jacks) and spade-lugs connector for installations in unconventional, difficult-to-find locations. Designed for use only on single-line telephone systems. Size: 2.5" x 1" x .75".

WARNING: these devices are to be used only in a legal and lawful manner in compliance with all applicable laws and F.C.C. regulations, which should be consulted prior to connection of any equipment to telephone lines.

By agreeing to these Terms, you hereby certify that you are eligible to receive locksmithing devices through the mail pursuant to 39 U.S.C. Section 3002a (a) because one or more of the following terms describe either you or your business:

1. a lock manufacturer or distributor.

2. a bona fide locksmith*.

3. a bona fide repossessor.

4. a motor vehicle manufacturer or dealer.

5. sworn commissioned law enforcement officer.

These Terms were made to induce vendor to send one or more locksmithing devices as defined in 39 U.S.C. Section 3002a (b) to you through the mail and it is expressly understood that vendor will be relying upon your agreeing to these Terms contained herein in filling the undersigned’s order.

*The statute does not define the term “locksmith”. Webster’s Third New International Dictionary defines a locksmith as follows: “a worker who makes or repairs locks.” It is the position of vendor that the term “locksmith” may be deemed to include an individual or organization, a reasonable and substantial portion of whose job description includes the activities normally associated with a locksmith as that term is defined, for example, but not by way of limitation, the security or maintenance department of a hospital, tow truck operator, and so forth.
